G. Edward Asks: If You Could Read Only Genre for Your Remaining Days Which Would It Be?

(The following is a continuation of this post)

Well, G. Edward, this sounds like some kind of horrifying Dystopian Nightmare scenario, in which case I suppose the genre I would choose would be whatever subject or information would help me survive the longest.

But then on the other hand, would I even want to live in that world? I think not. In which case, what would make me want to die the quickest?

. . . . . . .

So I guess it’s ovipositor/Wincest erotic FanFiction, then.

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD KILL ME NOW.

Bloggers You Should Check Out Today:

The Orang-utan Librarian is always good for book reviews in a variety of genres in everything from middle-grade to literary classics, if you’re like me and don’t like to stick to just one.

The Bibliophagist is the most aptly named blog I’ve ever seen, because I am 90% sure Sara lives off of 3 square books a day at a minimum. Lots of great reviews to peruse mostly in YA (but all genres in that category) and romance.

Current NaNo Word Count: 4,385

It is becoming increasingly apparent that I have absolutely no hope of completing this challenge in one month, but I have been thinking about this project for a long time, and it’s nice to finally be making some progress on it.

What about you guys? What genre can’t you live without?

If you are doing NaNoWriMo, what genre are you writing in?

  1. I think I would go for short stories , especially those that focus on human characteristics warts and all. If I was permitted I should like permission to dip into the odd chapter or two of my old favourite novels. I’m 77 and there is nothing in the world more interesting than people.

  2. No, no Wincest ero-fiction, anything but that😷 (are you a Supernatural watcher, you seen what those stories did to poor Becky😂😂) or those ‘I’m in love with a Navy SEAL” stories either. 😂😂

If I had to pick an only genre to live with, I probably would enjoy short stories from American Literature. I had a book for that class when I was in college, so many great stories and poems of the greatest writers of the 20th century(AA included).
Except Huck Finn, we dont do Huck Finn.
